Pairing: Pidge/Allura
Summary: When Allura asked Pidge to be her fake wife for the weekend so she could attend a summit on a planet where all adult visitors must be married and accompanied by their spouse, she thought it would be easy, maybe even fun. Unfortunately she forged their marriage documents far too well and now they are legally binding.
Thoughts: Fun thoughts for what each of their post-Voltron lives look like, Pidge's internal narrative is amusing, and that conversation she has with Matt is so, so funny.

There were several good reads in the collection - I liked the following Star Wars fic.

Fandom: Star Wars
Pairing: Obi-Wan/Anakin
Summary: After his death, Anakin decides to use the Force to travel into the past and keep Obi-Wan alive. He goes back a little further than expected, to the day of a cancelled diplomatic mission in the middle of the Clone Wars. This time, Anakin decides to see that mission through.
Thoughts: This took me back to all my prequel feelings about these two, and the characterization is so good - Obi-Wan denying, again and again, and Anakin who's always going to be selfish about these things. :D

The gift fic I wrote was for...Starship Iris, unsurprisingly. The fake-dating shenanigans that I've wanting to write for these two forever.

Pairing: Violet/Arkady
Summary: In a different world, some fences didn’t get mended. Too bad. That would make pretending to be engaged for this job a lot easier.

Yuletide Fics

Happy 2019!

Dealing with a very minor cough over the past week which was annoying for my birthday and the new year, but will definitely take this over the utterly debilitating sore throat I had for the week before my week in California. (Speaking of which, I love NYC but I miss in-n-out so much y'all. No, I don't want to taste how meaty the patty is, please drench it in delicious delicious sauce.)

I participated in Yuletide for the first time, and received this lovely fic!

Fandom:Bend it Like Beckham
Pairing: Jess/Jules
Summary: The room is tiny but it’s theirs, and that’s all that matters. There are two twin beds on either side of the room with dressers built into the walls beside matching closet doors on either side of the entrance. Two desks sit at the ends of the beds. Thoughts: I love reading about these two getting closer in college and the very natural way that the team assumes that they're already dating. Sometimes all you want is fluffy f/f getting together for the holidays, and this fic delivered. :D

I have a list of Yuletide recs over at my tumblr here, and hoping to eventually post more because I do have more. (Ocean's 8 had like...20 fics so I still got more to read.)

I ended up writing two fics for The Strange Case of Starship Iris, because I really can't tell when my little obsession with this podcast is going to stop (or if it will).
