December Talking Meme: Day 28

Maybe one of these years I'll do the talking meme in January instead when my schedule is much more stable LOL. In any case, we've arrived at the final day of prompts, where quailfence has asked "What’s something really interesting/cool that a play or musical you saw this year did?"

Random shit I liked:

• The utter mood whiplash of the Haus Of Holbein number in Six - it is technically unnecessary and adds nothing to the already thin storyline, but sometimes you just want a euro-rave in the middle of your depressing queen tracklist ok
• The Dementors literally swooping over the audience for The Cursed Child at the end of Act I. Some kids were probably terrified XD (For all the very fair criticisms of this play, the special effects truly are magical.)
• Some Like It Hot has a twofer - I liked the way it handled Jerry/Daphne being genderfluid in this production, even if it robbed us of the "Nobody's perfect" line, and I had a lot of fun watching the tapdancing firefight/chase scenes
